How much it cost Apple to fix iPhone 7 Plus cracked screen?

I can’t believe Apple, they want $170 dollars to fix my iPhone 7 plus cracked screen. I can buy another one for a hundred and fifty more. It’s obvious from the sales rep they don’t really want to fix the phone anyway. They kept checking for water damage so they can get out from doing the repair. It seems if the device has a water mark then they won’t perform the repair. So I decided to do some research why Apple charges so much to fix iPhone 7 plus cracked screen.

Why does Apple charge so much to fix iPhone 7 Plus cracked screen?

My search brought me to the obvious, Apple makes money selling phones, not fixing them. The profit machine that is Apple is on a quest to dominate the cellphone industry. I mean let’s face it, the iPhone is the world’s most popular cellphone and it’s not close. But a growing problem Apple has is trying to innovate in a very competitive market. There is only so much a smart phone can do. Why do I need a new phone if the one I have works great and does everything I need it to do?
I brought my iPhone 7 plus broken screen to a third party repair store for a quote. I was shocked to find out it would cost about half as much to repair. The store told me there were a couple of reasons why. First, the store isn’t certified and doesn’t use genuine parts. I asked if that’s a big deal and they said it depends on the customer. If you’re just getting it fixed so it functions again than it’s not an issue. But if you need to restore it to factory condition than you would need to bring to Apple. I asked him if I’m trading it in than is it necessary to use the real part and they said no. As long as the device is not broken or water damaged, you can use any quality part.

The cheapest place to repair a cracked screen

Another reason why third party repair is cheaper than the Apple store, it’s what they do. Just like a car, it’s often cheaper to have it repaired by a third party service provider. They concentrate on repairs and service rather than sales. Fix iPhone cracked screen or any other screen repair is the lifeblood of a repair store. An added benefit using a third party repair store is the amount of time it takes to finish the repair. The Apple store told me I would have to pick up the device the next day. When I brought it to the third party store they said they could have it done in about a half an hour.
I decided to fix iPhone 7 plus cracked screen at the third party store. It cost me less money, less time and I got a warranty on the part for a year. It’s been seven months since I had it repaired and so far its working fine. I suggest if you need to fix your iPhone 7 plus cracked screen or any other screen, is to shop around. There are some really good affordable and safe options out there.
